IMS Board Members Receive Papal Honors

By IMS Staff

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has announced that Pope Francis has bestowed Papal Honors upon 28 individuals for their dedication and exceptional service to the Church in Philadelphia. We are proud to call three of them members of our IMS family!

As IMS board members, each of these individuals have been important to the past, present and future success of our mission and we join Archbishop Chaput in saying, “Each has earned the gratitude of the Holy Father and our whole Catholic community”.

Please join is in congratulating…

John J. Donnelly, IMS Board Member

Brother Richard E. Kestler, FSC, IMS Board Member

Brian G. McElwee, IMS Board Chairman

Their outstanding Christian witness serves as an example to our 5,000 students and our community. It is role models like these who are so desperately needed to encourage our future generation to pursue their own spiritual growth through a life of service to others.

We are blessed to have them as representatives of the hundreds of faculty, staff and leaders of IMS, who every day serve the Gospel with the same fidelity and unselfish love through the delivery of Catholic education.

The honors will be conferred upon these individuals by the Archbishop during a Vespers service at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 4:00PM. All are welcome to attend! Learn more.
