“For it is in giving that we receive.” — Francis of Assisi
Each Year, Libertas Consulting visits St. Helena-Incarnation Catholic School, an Independence Mission School, and brings the children Christmas cheer (and donations from many kind people) and participates in their pageant which celebrates the true meaning of Christmas.
St. Helena and Incarnation merged a few years ago and many traditions of both schools shine through. Ray Cline (also known as “Santa Ray”) is the owner of Libertas Consulting and an Incarnation alum (class of 1994). His mother, Celeste Ann Cline, still teaches at the now-merged Independence Mission School located at 5th and Godfrey in Olney.
Ray feels fortunate to have attended Incarnation Catholic School and credits much of his professional success to the academic foundation laid at “Inky”. He believes that Catholic education is by far the best possible education option for children living in the city, so to help ease tuition burdens for families who sacrifice so much to ensure their children receive a quality, faith-filled education, he developed these yearly fundraising trips.
Over the past three years, “Santa Ray” has raised more than $7,000 for the families of St. Helena-Incarnation, and this year he has exceeded his goal of raising $5,000!
Mrs. Cline, mother of Ray and St. Helena-Incarnation’s Pre-K teacher is rightfully very proud of her son and expressed her gratitude for his efforts: “He truly represents the Christian values of a real Santa. He watched his grade school, high school and church where he worked, all fold and for him to take this initiative to keep the school (where his niece and nephew now attend) alive was no small task. I applaud all who helped him and joyfully await Santa’s visit to Pre-K. We have a list for him!”
“Santa Ray” will be visiting the Pre-K class today to hand out gifts to each of the children, in addition to presenting the best gift of all – a big check! He will also participate in the school’s yearly Christmas Pageant at 1:30pm, to be held at the church.
Ray will be accepting donations toward his Tuition Fund on his GoFundMe page until December 25th.
