At Independence Mission Schools (IMS), we’re on a mission to change the world, one student at a time. Our students come from families of all faiths living in some of the most poverty- challenged communities across our city. In neighborhoods of limited choices, our schools are beacons of hope—offering a high-quality, Catholic education that focuses on intellectual achievement, spiritual growth and character development.
The Future Depends on You
Your sponsorship is an incredible gift to our students and to our city. When you join the Sponsor-a-Student program, your gift bridges the gap between the cost of educating our students and the tuition that families are able to pay — making it possible for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 to receive a life-changing education, delivered in a safe and nurturing environment.
“Sponsoring a student is a great way to make a difference in the life of a child and to see your charitable dollars used well. It’s very rewarding to see the students grow – spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially —and flourish. The bonds I have formed with the students have profoundly changed the way I view the program. I now realize that I have more of a responsibility to the students than just writing a check.”
Kathy Friel, IMS Sponsor-a-Student participant since 2013
In Giving, You Receive
IMS offers four sponsorship levels. Whichever level you choose, your tax-deductible gift will have an immediate and tangible impact on a child’s future:
• $1,000 to sponsor a child for a year
• $5,000 to sponsor a program for a year
• $10,000 brings technology to a classroom
• $20,000 sponsors a whole class
